Apparently this week seems to be news week. After the announcement of Google+ of custom URLs and Pinterest’s Android and iPad app launch, it’s Klout’s moment.
On Tuesday, Joe Hernandez, Klout CEO, announced a new algorithm based on increased accuracy and more transparency for determining users scores. Although when is was initially created, Klout attracted a lot of criticism, in the current online climate, it can be said that measuring a person’s influence online has become a common practice. Hence, with regard to the diversity of social media products such as tweets/retweets, likes, Facebook subscriptions and mentions, Google+, recommendations and other, I’d say Klout’s update is most welcomed. It will be able to provide a better scoring pattern and it will be based on solid data.
Anyhow, you’ll be able to find out all new details by reading Joe Hernandez’z post here.
