In support of the Manchester Pride Festival which takes place from the 17-27th of August, we thought it would be a great opportunity to show our support for the gay community by presenting you six awesome LGBT infographics under the themes of marriage and rights:
1. Marriage
Same sex marriages have been quite a controversial topic over the years and the debates has boomed since Barack Obama announced his support for same sex marriages in May this year. Hence, we couldn’t leave out “Progress for the LGBT Community” infographic which presents Barack Obama’s efforts for the past three years(2009-2012) in supporting the LGBT community in US. The second infographic presents the financial inequalities between same sex marriages and heterosexual marriages whereas the third infographic displays the financial disadvantages of same sex marriage ban on governmental funds. Although all three infographics are focused on US, the data is eloquent for a changing social climate. Furthermore, US has been the country where same sex marriages have been intensely discussed in the social forum for the past few years.

2. Rights
The debate about same sex marriages is actually a debate about LGBT rights. So, while the first infographic is a brief presentation of the LGBT rights history and the countries supporting them, the second infographic presents data on workplace diversity and LGBT employment. Finally, the third infographic focuses on the emergence of pride parades and their current global status.
